Also known as pot marigold, common marigold, and Scotch marigold.

Fedco 2020 offered this plant Calendula officinalis (55 days) A mix of orange, apricot and peachy doubled petals, all with red backing to create a distinctive contrast.

I love this variety as colors fade to bicolor yellows or yellow-peach, making it lovely to watch as it mature. Blooms through light fall frosts; still look good in October. Annual. OSSI.

    Attractive to pollinators.

Used in homeopathic remedies and herbal tinctures and ointments for their antiseptic and soothing qualities.

Culture: This striking, sturdy flower blooms over a very long period, thriving in cool weather and persists through first frosts. Can be direct seeded in May or started indoors in cool place for early blooms. Readily self-sows. I Winter Sowed it. Though it started slowly, once the warm weather in 6a was here for good, it grew quickly and robustly.

Deadhead to keep blooms coming and the patch attractive, or try succession plantings. Don't crowd, give space and full sun.

Mix of colors with bicolor petals, undersides of petals are a muted burgundy, giving a distinctive, lined-edge look. Many double and semi double flowers on long, strong stems.
