    Rugosa friulana is a moschata (not a pepo). It is tan when fully mature, the stem looks like it is smushed onto the fuit, and the leaves aren't deeply cut like zucchini leaves.

    This variety from Northern Italy reminds me of the old-time yellow crookneck. Similar shape and heavily warted. Slightly firmer and dryer flesh. Large bush type vine that can reach 5 ft. Does not have much disease resistance compared to modern hybrid crooknecks, but like the antique warted crookneck has more flavor and texture.
