    Noted by Antique Rose Emporium:
"Typical of many rugosas, Sitka has the wrinkled foliage and a full accompaniment of thorns however, its small size allows for container growing quite nicely. The flowers are quite delicate in appearance and remind us of crumpled crepe paper. A large cluster of bright yellow stamens stands out against the silvery pink ruffled edged blooms. "Sitka’s" perfume is known to be overpowering. This rose came to us from Sitka, Alaska where it grows profusely in the wild."
