"Paeonia 'May Lilac', (2-SL-PK) Hybrid Peony, (Saunders, 1950), USDA Hardiness Zone 4, Medium height, single, Lavender petals, cupped, red stigmas, yellow stamens, no side-buds, green rounded foliage, early bloomer, Michigan Bloom Month 5-6.

A cross of P. lactiflora x P. macrophylla, A dead giveaway in identifying features of this peony are the leaves, they are somewhat round. I have no other peonies with this type of foliage."
