Lutz (70-80 days). This variety grows up to four times the size of most beets. It tastes sweetest when harvested small and is a good winter keeper. Purplish red exterior, deep red interior, and large, glossy green tops. Excellent for greens, and the roots stay tender even when large. Stores extremely well.
