The ALETA EVERETT ADAMS DAYLILY was created by Mr. Richard Norris and named after me. It is one of the greatest honors I have ever received. I was born in poverty, two days after my dad was killed in a car wreck. My mom was an alcoholic for the first sixteen years of my life. I was told many times I would never be anything. I worked hard and never let words get in my way. With God's help and the help of many teachers, friends and family, I am a rocket scientist today!
