Original plant was found about 30 miles south of where we live. Introduced in 2003.
Appreciates air circulation and is essentially disease and pest free. Deadheading lengthens bloom operation.

This plant has exceeded my expectations. It has grown to about 7 feet here and is spreading. Like most black-eyed susans, the spread is fairly aggressive once the plant is established. It has a long blooming season and is wonderful in my butterfly garden. It doesn't seem to be bothered by diseases.

Blooms all summer and is very reliable and hardy.

This plant grows fairly tall, but is sturdy and has not required any staking. Long bloom period, especially if kept deadheaded. In my garden, this plant blooms until first frost.

This plant grew exceptionally well during this, its first year, here. The bloom season was very long and it was one of the last plants to cease blooming. It appears very hardy here and relatively trouble-free.
