Flowers open a pale yellow but quickly fade to white. Stems are a nice bright red and the buds are fuzzy. Leaves have a beautiful vein pattern that shows up well.

Sometimes confused with clematis 'Wada's Primrose' however, they are not the same plant. Wada's Primrose has smaller buds, the flowers are a lighter color and flatter, and the stems are thinner.
