Hydrangea arborescent 'NCHA2' was developed by Thomas G. Ranney at North Carolina State University, Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station, Mills River, N.C. It is marketed under the trade name of Invincibelle® Spirit II as a better pink 'Annabelle' type hydrangea. It was released ~6 years after the original Invincibelle® Spirit and supposedly has darker foliage, stronger stems, and larger flowers that are a darker pink that ages to green. (PP28316, 2016)
