Paintedtrillium On May 29, 2020 Plant Ended (Removed, Died, Discarded, etc)
Bought this very pretty dianthus three years in a row, trying it in different locations on my property. I always lose it between April and May. As much as I like it while it is growing, it is too expensive for me to grow as an annual.
Paintedtrillium On June 8, 2019 Plant Ended (Removed, Died, Discarded, etc)
Plant was added early last year in a sandy and well-drained in zone 6a location. Plant did not survive the winter. This is the fourth dianthus cultivar that I have lost, but older selections have been very long lived. I think that they are dying due to intolerance of spring frost and thaw cycles.
