    This hybrid is considered by some sources to also exist as a natural hybrid (Cym. x bennett-poei). At this time, KEW's World Checklist of Selected Plants considers it as an unplaced taxon; i.e. not yet confirmed. Considering the clear relationship between the two parent species, however, it seems quite plausible that this may exist as a natural hybrid (and Sanders reportedly listed it as such in the 1930s). Hopefully additional research will clarify this.

    Unfortunately this hybrid typically inherits the worst of the leaf-spotting traits of both its parents, requiring good-quality water much like Tracy's Cymbidium (Cymbidium tracyanum)).
