    This is one of the showiest columbines I've grown. The spurred bicolor blooms are very striking, almost black & white. It's one of the tallest columbines I have also, so it really gets noticed.

    I planted these in full shade and they've taken about 4 years to achieve good size. The difference from year 3 to 4 was dramatic, however, with nearly a doubling in height. I've moved to bright dappled shade/part shade and hope to see much better performance.
