'Elk Red-Violet' is a brand new hybrid salvia for the 2018 season that was introduced by Flowers By The Sea. The flowers are small, but very numerous, according to Kermit Carter of FBTS. I'm looking forward to adding this beauty in my garden mainly for the hummingbirds, but it also attracts butterflies and bees. Even though it isn't hardy in my zone, it will be worth having it flower and to feed the pollinators.

FBTS grows, sells and specializes in salvias and is located in Elk, CA.
