This interesting Aeonium with flattened rosettes is a hybrid of "Pseudotabuliforme" x arboreum, and the parent of the attractive variegated sport "Emerald Ice". It branches freely and grows a stem, unlike the similar-looking A. tabuliforme, which is reputed to be more difficult in cultivation and is much harder to propagate. The two plants are frequently confused, especially when this cultivar is young and has not yet had time to grow a stem. Given the ease of propagation, this plant is probably more common in cultivation than that species.
