To the best of my knowledge, this has only been made once using Orchid (Cymbidium Gladys Whitesell 'The Charmer') X Cym. canaliculatum var. sparkesii (the solid red form of the species). Given that 'The Charmer' is 3N and the pollen parent was almost certainly 2N, the progeny are likely to be a range of ploidies and some aneuploids as well. It would be most interesting to see what the chromosome count of some of them are!
