CommonCents On October 28, 2015 Seeds sown
Not seeds, but rather rhizomes. Planted first batch for early 2016 season. Rhizomes were 'fresh ginger root' from local grocery store.
CraftyFox On February 9, 2021 Obtained plant
3 gal: Shoots breaking soil today in 2 of the 3 gallon pots!
CQ: Strange beet stain doesn't seem to be spreading on small pieces, though they are showing some other white rot along the calloused cuts.. Each of the pieces has a prominent developing bud that seems to have grown, seemingly in good health. Maybe tank water was a bad idea.. Hah!
CraftyFox On January 21, 2021 Potted up
Repotted to check. Noted 3-4" primary feeders developed on larger root in 3gfp, along with bud swelling.. Smaller pieces not nearly as developed.
CraftyFox On December 31, 2020 Potted up
Shallowly set 1" under, in a B-HQFP.. Calloused rhizome chunk approximately 1/2" diam. x 1" with three semi-dormant nubs in ProMix. Tankwatered- 4oz.
