CraftyFox | On February 9, 2021 | Miscellaneous Event Aphids still swimming around in the tank.. Feeding on any of this Demersum that pokes out of the surface. Fairly certain they are Rhopalosiphum nymphaeae. So far I haven't seen them outside of the aquarium. Originated from some Smartweed I found growing in the pond. When I say swim, I mean they glide across the surface on the tension, sometimes appearing as though they have a little rocket booster on them. Amphipods try to grab them, but I've yet to see one get taken under.. The population doesn't seem to get all that large, so I have to believe they are getting taken by something in the tank. |
