    This wonderful woodland spring flower is native from east Texas to northern Florida to New Hampshire into Indiana. Its flower stems run through the middle of the leaf. It bears yellow terminal, dangling flowers. It goes dormant in late summer. It can be bought at some native plant nurseries and specialty mail order nurseries.
