MrsBinWY | On April 17, 2021 | Seeds sown 21 (all) Ex. 'Rose Arch Fox' seeds from NARGS Apr-21 (donated by B. Ruault of Cochrane, AB) - trying "Tarlton Method" (https://plantlilies.com/read/t...) for delayed hypogeal germinators Soak the seeds for 10 minutes in a 10% bleach solution. Stick wet seeds to inner sides of a sterilized quart jar. Carefully add potting mix moistened with fertilizer water. Try not to knock seeds off the sides of the jar. Firm the potting mix gently. Seal the jar and leave it at room temperature for 3 months. Tiny bulbs should be visible at this point. Move the still-sealed jar to the fridge for 3 months. Remove the jar from the fridge to room temperature, and remove the lid. After a few days at room temperature, green growth should be visible. Pot the seedlings, and grow on until they're large enough to transfer them to the garden. Finally fridge these on 8-29-2021. Don't see any little bulbs. Unfridged on 11-29-2021. No activity... Finally gave up on these in April 2022. |
