Poisonous Mushrooms
This year's rains have coaxed up a bumper crop of mushrooms. Nearly 98 percent of them are edible, but some definitely are not. Use a good field guide to learn your way around the choice species while getting to know the poisonous ones, too. North Carolina State's Wild Mushrooms and Poisoning site has pictures and profiles of the 14 most potent poisonous species.
