Tribute to Long-Time Gardener
Maricopa County Master Gardeners are creating a Scholarship Endowment in honor of James Baker, owner of Baker Nursery in Phoenix, who celebrates his 80th birthday this August. For many decades, the Baker family has been a strong supporter of the Master Gardener program, garden clubs, and school gardens throughout the Valley. The Endowment is in appreciation of the numerous donations as well as the time and knowledge that Baker Nursery has so generously shared. For more information, contact Urban Horticulture Agent Lucy Bradley, (602) 470-8086, ext. 323.
