Right now is the best time of the year to sow hardy annual or perennial wildflowers, or regional wildflower mixtures. The University of Georgia's Wildflowers Web page lists dozens of worthwhile species, describes those that are endangered or protected, and includes links to sources for seed.

Monarchs on the Move
How many monarchs fell victim to Hurricane Isabel? Many of us will be guessing the answer as this year's migration gets underway. Fine places for monarch watching include dense patches of wild blue asters ? a prime source of nectar that monarchs use as fuel for the long flight home.
