Fertilizing, Pruning and Winterizing Roses
Fertilizing, Pruning and Winterizing Roses is an article from Ohio State University Extension that includes detailed instructions and diagrams on how to winterize and protect roses in colder climates. It also includes year-round care instructions for the different types of roses. How to prune and when to prune depend on the type of rose you have, so read carefully. Finally, a three-step fertilizer program is described, with the third application recommended in either late fall or very early spring.
