Growing Roses
Growing Roses Web site from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System is packed with useful information about all aspects of growing roses. It includes descriptions of the different types of roses and helpful planting and pruning guidelines.

The Organic Rose Garden
For anyone familiar with the plethora of sprays commonly doused on finicky roses, the concept of organic rose growing may seem like an oxymoron. However, it is not. Veteran rose gardener Liz Druit has compiled a very practical guide called The Organic Rose Garden (Taylor Publishing Company, 1996; $21.00). This superb reference on all aspects of growing roses organically is also a good read for a dreary winter day!
