Jo Miller, Water Conservationist with the City of Glendale, will explain how to create a yard that conserves water and energy, reduces green waste sent to landfills, produces food for you, and creates shelter for butterflies and birds. Miller will be available for questions and a book-signing of her book, Earth-Friendly Desert Gardening, after the event. Held at the Glendale Library on February 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. Free but registration required. Call (623) 930-3554, or e-mail: jmiller@glendaleaz.com.
