Favorite or New Plant

Creeping Phlox
One of the sure signs of spring is the brightly colored carpet of creeping phlox (Phlox subulata). It is a water-thrifty ground cover that, once established, will thrive for years, spilling over rock walls and clinging to those dry slopes. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. You can find this plant with blooms in pink, rose, blue, magenta, or white. It often retains year-round, semi-evergreen foliage for winter interest.
