Water Garden Plants
Each category of water plants, including water lilies, lotus, submerged, floating, and marginals, are discussed in their own chapter in the Encyclopedia of Water Garden Plants, by Greg and Sue Speichert (Timber Press, 2004; $49.95). For each category, there is information about proper soil, planting, and climate requirements, plus descriptions of hundreds of individual species and cultivars with many full-color photographs. Useful appendices list plants for special places.
