New Mexico Native Plant Society Annual Meeting
One Desert, Two Countries, Three States: Plants of the Northern Chihuahuan Desert is the theme for the 2006 annual meeting of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico. The meeting will be held Thursday, August 10, through Sunday, August 13, at the University of Texas in El Paso. Numerous field trips are included. Registration is $70/$80 for members/non-members; $75/$90 after July 15. Don't Shear Away Color
Don't shear Texas sage (Leucophyllum sp.) into cubes and balls. This native shrub bursts into bloom soon after the arrival of summer thundershowers, and pruning will eliminate this fantastic color show.
