Clever Gardening Technique

Epsom Salts for Roses
Do your roses have tired roots? Are your plants lacking in vigor and blooms? In the spring, sprinkle a couple tablespoons of Epsom salts around the base of each rose bush. Lightly cultivate into the soil and water in. Magnesium sulfate helps buffer accumulated salts that lock up nutrients, plus it induces basal shoots to grow from the bud union.
