Houseplant Info on the Internet
This Houseplants Web site from North Carolina State University is the best compilation of houseplant information on the Internet that I have seen. It links to a wide variety of information sheets from states across the country with an emphasis on the southern region. It includes details on houseplant care, propagation, and pests. Links to photo galleries and fact sheets on specific species help make this a superb one-stop site for anyone wanting to grow beautiful houseplants.

Favorite or New Plant

Chinese Evergreen
The Chinese evergreen, or Aglaonema, is a great choice for growing indoors. Native to the jungles of southeast Asia, it tolerates low light levels better than most houseplants. The plant produces beautiful glossy, lance-shaped, dark green leaves with silvery gray markings. Provide Chinese evergreen with medium light levels and allow soil to dry out a bit between waterings.
