Mountain Lover
Mountain lover (Paxistima canbyiis) is a wonderful prostrate, broadleaf evergreen shrub that grows to a height of 8 to 12 inches. This little plant has lustrous, dark green leaves that deepen to hues of purple in winter. Use this ground cover in shady rock gardens, edging, and small spaces. Mountain Lover does best in partial shade in well-drained soils.
