Mt. Cuba Center Evening Tours
For years Mt. Cuba Center in Hockessin, Delaware, was only open to the public a few times each spring. This 650-acre Copelands' estate was favorite haunt of native plant afficionados, students, and plant researchers. Mt. Cuba now welcomes the public with advance registration on daily docent-led tours. Special 2-hour guided Wednesday evening tours are scheduled through July 25. Mt. Cuba is dedicated to the study, conservation, and appreciation of plants native to the Appalachian Piedmont Region. Fee $5. For info, call (302) 239-4244; or visit: http://www.mtcubacenter.org/.
