Clever Gardening Technique

Foil Corn Ear Worms
You can prevent corn earworms from ruining your crop by mixing Bacillus thuringiensis with molasses to use as a bait. When the tassels are just beginning to turn from green to gold, mix 1/4 teaspoon of Safer Caterpillar Killer with 1 cup molasses and 4 cups water. Spray or pour the bait around the base of each corn plant.
