Clever Gardening Technique

When to Harvest Pomegranates
Rind color isn't always a good indication of pomegranate ripeness. Try this: If the flower end is open and the fruit pulls easily from the branch, then rap it sharply against a hard surface, such as a block wall. If the fruit splits open readily, it should be ripe. Of course, only the taste test will tell you for sure!
