This Farmscaping to Enhance Biological Control Web page provides a very helpful chart on selecting plants to attract various beneficial insects. It is part of a Web site that covers a broad approach to attracting beneficials to a farm and includes another chart helpful to gardeners that lists pests and the beneficial insects that feed on them.

Natural Enemies Handbook: The Illustrated Guide to Biological Pest Control (University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources Publication 3386, 1998; $23) is an outstanding resource about the many types of beneficial insects and how they live and work. It includes numerous full-color photographs and is a fascinating educational tool for helping us better understand our gardening allies.
