Plants Favored by Deer
The Reducing Deer Damage site from Cornell University has in-depth background information on deer, including habits, favorite foods, and social organization. It details options for controlling deer, and it also categorizes garden plants by their attractiveness to deer. Very handy!

Favorite or New Plant

Angelonia
Sometimes called summer snapdragons, angelonia are perfect plants for container gardens. The flower spikes do resemble snapdragons, but the plants are much more tolerant of summer heat. They come in a range of colors -- purple, light blue, pink, white, and bicolors. Give them full sun and they'll grow about 2 feet tall and half as wide, producing continuous flowers into fall.
