Clever Gardening Technique
My alyssum got ratty looking and I tried to cut it back, but that just made it worse. So I pulled out the plants and shook them vigorously over the bed to distribute seeds for next spring. The hardy alyssum would most likely have done this without my help, but now I am assured of a bountiful crop of flowers next year, if the birds don't beat me to them!
