Clever Gardening Technique

Container Veggies
If you don't have space for a garden in the backyard, or if sun is lacking, consider planting your vegetables in containers located in a sunny spot. Choose a container at least 5 gallons in size with drainage holes in the bottom. Fill it with a good potting soil and fertilize with a soluble plant food according to the label instructions. You can grow most fall vegetables in containers, including broccoli, kohlrabi, kale, turnips, radishes, carrots, spinach, lettuce, or other cool-season greens.
