Web Finds
In honor of the Web site's 10th birthday, landscape designer Tom Turner and his staff are offering free garden eBook downloads. While the Web site "The Garden and Landscape Guide" focuses on gardens in Britain, there are gardens worldwide. Starting Oct. 15, the free eBook download is Turner's "24 Historic Styles of Garden Design."

Tool or Gardening Product

Remington 18 Volt Cordless Polesaw
Using a handsaw to remove 2-, 3-, or 4-inch-thick dead or live branches is tedious and time-consuming. The new Remington 18 Volt Cordless Polesaw makes short work of pruning shrubs and tree limbs. Even better, the detachable 8-inch battery-powered chainsaw turns on with a two trigger buttons. No frustrating pull cord!!! The polesaw's telescoping pole extends from 47 to 83 inches. The battery pack slides into the pole handle OR the chainsaw. Charged battery lasts about 25 minutes so it's definitely worth buying a second battery for backup. Cost is $164.99 plus shipping.
