Daylily Sale, Tour, Judging
Sunday, June 14, 1-4pm, at Quail Botanic Gardens will be Daylily Day. Southwest Hemerocallis Society members will show and judge their best daylilies, offer a plant sale and give tours of the daylily gardens. Free with admission to the Gardens ($10 adults, $7 seniors and students, $5 kids ages 3-12, free for members and kids ages 2 and under). Clever Gardening Technique

Olive Oil Deters Ants
Keep ants off of your hummingbird feeder by spreading olive oil on the tip that dispenses the sweet water. The ants will stay away, but the taste doesn't seem to bother the birds.
