Books

The Pruning Book
For pruning guidance, I rely on my dog-eared, 1997 softcover edition of The Pruning Book, by Lee Reich. Fortunately Taunton has reissued this practical and sturdy "how-to." (The revised edition will be available in January, 2010.) Reich's direct, clear writing style and the book's photos and clean line drawings make this an excellent intro for the novice and a smart reference for those of us in training.
