No Mow Grass Company
The No Mow Grass Company sells "no-mow" grass seed, and they also have a great deal of information on how and why you should install one of these lawns. Aside from doing something good for the Earth, "no-mow" lawns cut down on the amount of time you will spend mowing, fertilizing and controlling weeds. And that's a good thing, right?

Favorite or New Plant

Variegated Aralia
The variegated aralia (Acanthopanax sieboldianus 'Variegatus') is a lovely shrub with five-fingered leaves edged with creamy-white. Exceedingly hardy in northern climates, it grows to about five feet tall and tolerates pruning. Variegated aralia tolerates unfavorable conditions such as alkaline, heavy, or poor soil and, best of all, grows well in heavy shade. It is a striking plant for the dry shade border, and can even be pruned into an espalier on a wall.
