Gopher & Mole Pro-Tection
Orcon has a new line of three organic pest control products that are meant to detour (1) gophers and moles, (2) dogs and cats and (3) deer and rabbits. I have ordered the gopher product and will report back with my findings. It utilizes sulfur and garlic, costs $18, with no shipping costs and remains active for 12 months after activation. Clever Gardening Technique

Propagate Succulents
My grandmother taught me this trick way back in the 1960s. When propagating succulent plants such as Echeveria, Aeonium, Ceropegia or Crassula, don't water for about 10 days after taking the cutting. Succulent plants contain a large amount of water and will survive while the cut end forms a callus where roots will form. So remember; no water for 10 days when taking cuttings of succulent plants!
