Plant Identification Terminology
Plant Identification Terminology by James Harris and Melinda Woolf Harris (ISBN 0-9640221-5)

Plant taxonomy employs an extensive and complex terminology. Professional botanists often need years in the field to master this new language. It sometimes presents a daunting obstacle to the student of taxonomy. This volume of illustrated botanical terms clears the way to understanding the terms used for identifying the various parts of a plant. For example, a tricarpellay is a seed pod with three chambers. A rostellum is a small beak or extension from the upper end of the stigma in orchids. All useful information- especially if you like cross word puzzles!
