Outdoor Living Extravaganza
Proven Winners will host an Outdoor Living Extravaganza at the Atlanta History Center in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 4th, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Registration of $80 includes a catered lunch, free giveaways, and four fabulous seminars: Rick Schoellhorn, PW Director of New Products, on new plant introductions; Rebecca Bull Reed, Associate Garden Editor for Southern Living Magazine, on edible gardens; Carmen Johnson, Nectar and Company, on gardening with children; and Walter Reeves, Atlanta's best gardening guru, on solving plant problems. Red-Osier Dogwood
Add color to the winter landscape with 'Arctic Fire,' a dwarf form of Cornus stolonifera from Proven Winners that offers vibrant red stems. Standing at just thirty-six to forty-eight inches, this plant is perfect for small landscapes or container gardens. Use cut branches for holiday displays as well as winter flower arrangements. The easy-to-grow deciduous shrub prefers well-drained, moist soil and should be pruned and fertilized immediately after flowering in spring.
