Real Gardens for Real People Garden Tour
Enjoy the 11th annual garden tour sponsored by University of Arizona Maricopa County Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners. The self-guided tour of Scottsdale gardens occurs on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Master Gardeners and local experts will be on hand at each garden to share info on composting, attracting birds and wildlife, growing vegetables, container gardening, and water gardening. Clever Gardening Technique

Maintain Leafy Hedges
When pruning hedges, keep the base as wide or wider than the top. Leaves need sunlight to grow, so a top-heavy hedge will soon begin to shade out the lower areas, leaving unattractive bare woody stems.
