I have acorns on my lawn that have sprouted into oak seedlings everywhere. How can I get rid of them without having to manually pull each one out? Will a weed killer work?

As long as they are still small the hoeing should do the trick; repeated mowing in the lawn area should also do them in. It is better though in groundcover areas to pull them out by the roots if possible, this being most easily accomplished when the soil is very moist. Alternatively, in planted areas, a quick well-aimed wipe (as opposed to a spray) with a bit of herbicide containing glyphosate will do them in. In bare areas, hoeing, pulling or spot treatment with glyphosate would be possible. Hope this helps and good luck!
