Part of my vegetable garden is in the shade. There is information available on flowers and shrubs that will grow in the shade, but I cannot find any information on vegetables that will do well in the shade. Do you know of any so that this portion of my garden can be utilized? |
Although most vegetable need a full day of sun for good growth, there are a few that can tolerate partial shade: arugula, cabbage, corn salad, endive, horseradish, lettuce, pea, radish, rhubarb, spinach, and Swiss chard. And don't forget that there are quite a few herbs that will tolerate a bit of shade as well! |
