Part of my vegetable garden is in the shade. There is information available on flowers and shrubs that will grow in the shade, but I cannot find any information on vegetables that will do well in the shade. Do you know of any so that this portion of my garden can be utilized?

Although most vegetable need a full day of sun for good growth, there are a few that can tolerate partial shade: arugula, cabbage, corn salad, endive, horseradish, lettuce, pea, radish, rhubarb, spinach, and Swiss chard. And don't forget that there are quite a few herbs that will tolerate a bit of shade as well!
