Hello,

I have this tree growing in the front of my house. I have never seen a tree like it before. It smells sweet, similar to the smell of a pine tree, and right now it has green 'berries' on it. At first I thought it was some form of an oak tree, but I don't believe that's the case. Can you please identify what tree this is?

Thank you.

Hi Bonnie101, Welcome!

Many people don't like to divulge their exact city but if you could at least tell us the state where the tree is growing, that would help narrow it down for a correct identity. There are many trees with fragrant foliage and green berries.

And if its a large state with lots of zones, maybe an area of the state. My first guess is that you have some sort of Bay tree but, it lives in a pretty narrow range.

That was my first thought but we need to know where @Bunnie101 lives. Second thought was Mediterraneum Bay.
