Found this photo on pinterest, but there was no name, just a photo.

Does anyone know what it is or know of other similar bicolor dahlias?

Hi Kathy,
My friend has that saved on her Pinterest, too! I've been trying to identify it for awhile now, but I wonder if it might be a variety that is only available on the other side of the pond?

The closest one I've found is "Double Jill" (less orangey, though), which is currently available from Goldenrod Gardens.

Thank you so much Melissa! I'll keep searching, but I love Double Jill too.

I am so drawn to the bicolored one's ... was able to get this one too.

YORK AND LANCASTER, 1915
The history of this intriguing dahlia is a mystery. One British expert told us it was rediscovered in a chateau garden and dated to 1915. Another said he saw it growing in a rural hamlet near Lyon and it dated to the 1850s. Every flower is different. A few open deep red, a few pearly white, but most are an unpredictable mix of both colors – ! Ball, 3", 4-5',

That could be Coupe de Soleil. Looks like it was recently sold by Direct Gardening but I'd definitely steer clear of that company.

Rebecca's World is a bi-color that produces lots of 4" blooms, with each new bloom being different than the last. These photos are from 5+ years ago. Very interesting dahlia.

Many sites showing "sold out" are from last year's lists. Some suppliers haven't opened for business or updated their sites. A lot of those hard to find varieties are imported and sold as packaged clumps. Best advice would be to check with local garden centers, big box stores or the dahlia importers/resellers on the "Dahlia Addicts" list. Good luck with your search!
